We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor - MEP to join our Building Services commercial team in our head office in Moorgate. Working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will undertake all responsibilities and have a duty to act in the best commercial and financial interests of the business in delivering set projects and services to time and quality, adding best value to the overall Skanska business whilst recognising our Corporate and Social Responsibilities. Promote HS&E standards and culture throughout the business and projects.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure that the obligations and responsibilities of the Project and other stakeholders are properly fulfilled
- Monitor and manage the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the Contract
- Monitor and manage the contract procedures, payments, variations together with contract entitlements
- Monitor and manage dispute management procedures
- Manage the client’s commercial expectations (Change/Payment/Notices/Advice). Manage recovery from client changes through understanding and applying the deal
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience of running MEP projects or No 2 position on large MEP projects
- Previous experience at QS level running significant multiple subcontract packages £5-10M+
- Good working knowledge of contract/commercial law
- Experience with Design and Build forms of contract
- Relevant CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject
