You will be working in the Building Operating Unit where we are responsible for a major project in Cambridgeshire.

You will be responsible for overall accountability and day‑to‑day management for the delivery of the envelope packages, from pre‑construction to handover. As the Envelope Project Manager you will:

  • Chair design and site progress meetings, produce minutes and track/conclude actions.
  • Ensure all deliverables are produced to programme.
  • Review and comment/approve package issued documentation, for example drawings, reports, technical queries, requests for information, safe system of works and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with package quantity surveyor for package cost control.
  • Day‑to‑day liaison with design team and specialist contractor team for all design, production, and installation matters.
  • Carry out off‑site and on‑site inspections to assess production status, ensure quality of manufacturing and installation including testing and benchmarking, relevant reporting.
  • Coordinate and monitor progress of all site activities associated with the envelope, in partnership with other package managers and with due consideration to other packages/trades and their interfaces.

We are looking for:

  • Robust understanding of envelope products and relevant challenges, relevant competency.
  • Strong ability to deliver packages on time and on budget at all project stages including procurement.
  • Good project and site management skills.
  • Military or high security project experience.
  • Appropriate engineering/construction qualifications and competency.
  • UK Drivers Licence required.
  • UK / EU / US national required.

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
