As the Category Manager you will procure and manage framework agreements and contracts for the Skanska UK business, delivering cost savings and rebate, and providing Operating Units and Enabling Functions with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.
What you’ll do:
- Procurement and management of a portfolio of categories to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
- Development of category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product/service will be strategically procured.
- Undertake request for proposals (RFP) applying a balanced scorecard approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to client’s and business objectives.
- Drafting of recommendations (business case), for approval to demonstrate how and why a supplier has been selected.
- Draft, negotiate and execute robust agreements/contracts incorporating relevant Skanska policies, to reflect the deal, and protect the business from risk.
- Effective communication with stakeholders to promote the adoption of new agreements.
- Work with suppliers to drive innovation and improvement in digital, reduce cost, carbon reduction, improve safety, increase quality, delivery social value or reduce time to deliver successful projects.
- Keep records up to date including agreement details, category plan, savings reporting and agreement intranet pages.
