Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Construction Director to join our Building team in London, based on a major commercial project.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for logistics planning and management in line with programme and site requirements.
- Ensure that the master programme and schedule of deliverables for the project is developed, meeting the requirements of the brief and the clients expectations.
- Develop clear, detailed and practical measures of performance to meet project objectives.
- Regularly inspect works for compliance with design and report on progress, ensuring remedial action is taken within agreed timelines.
- Implement a good communications strategy within the project to ensure that all team members are briefed weekly and provide regular reports to monitor performance, risk and opportunity management and highlight issues at an early stage as required.
- In conjunction with the Commercial Manager, lead, instigate and manage the risk and opportunity procedures.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Working as a Construction Director or Project Lead on Major projects circa £250m and above.
- Relevant sector experience in Commercial major projects.
- Significant experience in the Construction Industry.
- Clear visible leadership.
- Experience of managing large high performing teams.
