We are looking for a Senior Project Surveyor (Defence) to join our Building team in the Cambridgeshire region. This is an exciting opportunity to work during tender, design and construction phases for major projects in the region.
What you’ll do:
- Control the cost management for project and provide financial reporting regularly.
- Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc.
- Ensure all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the financial position of a construction project is reported accurately and controlled effectively and is maintained throughout.
- Play a key role in guiding and developing all project staff on commercial issues.
- Undertake all responsibilities in line with company policies and IMS procedures.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience of working on medium to large sized projects of value in excess of £25 million.
- Have relevant experience of running significant multiple subcontract packages of value £1 million to £20 million.
- Previous experience on DIO/MOD projects working through PCSA and Construction stages, successfully converting and delivering on time and to budget.
- Working knowledge of one or more forms of construction contracts including JCT and NEC.
- BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject.
- Preferably qualified or working towards ICES or RICS accreditation.
