Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Skanska Technology team in Bridgend.
What you’ll do:
- Produce designs, models, specifications and technical reports to applicable standards and best practice (e.g., DMRB).
- Create and deliver digital designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering tools; provide technical assurance by checking, certifying and authorising outputs.
- Plan, manage and deliver work packages including programming, pricing, proposals and cost estimation.
- Support construction delivery with buildability input, site visits, surveys, investigations and technical advice.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and CDM Designers’ Duties, embedding safe design principles.
- Mentor and develop graduate engineers/technicians and maintain technical expertise through CPD to build strong customer relationships.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Chartered (ICE) or working towards Chartered Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering and proven highways/infrastructure design experience.
- Strong technical expertise in highways geometry, drainage (SuDS, hydraulic design) and UK standards, including CDM Designer duties and safe‑design principles.
- Proficient in digital design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and experienced in preparing technical approvals and adoption submissions (e.g., S104, S106).
- Excellent communicator and collaborator across multi‑disciplinary teams and clients, committed to quality, innovation and delivering buildable solutions.
