Over your summer placement, you'll gain hands-on experience and have the support of mentors who care about your growth. You'll develop the technical and interpersonal skills to help you succeed and make a lasting impact.

We are looking for a Construction Management student to become part of our Building team on our 7 Millbank project (known as The Smith).

What you'll do:

  • Supporting in the daily control, management, and coordination of site activities
  • Support the supervision of trade-contractors as well as the labour and material requirements for the contract
  • Assist in ensuring our operatives are working to the latest programme of works, are signed up to the relevant method statements and check they understand what is required
  • Be involved in quality and compliance
  • Help to log and resolve any defects found and challenge current methodology by putting forward innovative ideas
  • Contributing to site progress meetings
  • Building positive working relationships with sub-contractors
  • Solving issues on site and monitoring risks
  • Ensuring health & safety is adhered to, including site inspections, and conducting site inductions.
  • Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is received, reviewed and communicated where necessary

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Studying towards a construction related subject that is accredited by the CIOB
  • Values driven and passionate about sustainability
  • Enthusiastic to learn in a site-based environment
  • Have excellent communications skills and attention to detail
  • Commercially minded
