As the Quantity Surveyor – MEP, you will:
- Assist the ‘Commercial Team’ embedded within a fast paced, high‑profile Ministry of Defence (MOD) Private Finance Initiative (PFI) based at Northwood Joint Headquarters.
- Be responsible for assisting in the delivery of new works, lifecycle and business as usual activities.
- Work closely with the commercial team to obtain quotations through the tender process.
- Conduct tender analysis and subsequent procurement of materials and subcontractors.
- Assist in planning payment schedules and the formulation of cash flow forecasts in order to track and report margins up the chain of command.
- Assist with the measuring of works completed and help agree payment applications.
- Monitor progress of applications and any disputes.
We are looking for:
- Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution.
- Experience of technical minute taking at contractual meetings and able to demonstrate the ability to collate information and prepare reports.
- Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Manager and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports.
