As the Quantity Surveyor – MEP, you will:

  • Assist the ‘Commercial Team’ embedded within a fast paced, high‑profile Ministry of Defence (MOD) Private Finance Initiative (PFI) based at Northwood Joint Headquarters.
  • Be responsible for assisting in the delivery of new works, lifecycle and business as usual activities.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to obtain quotations through the tender process.
  • Conduct tender analysis and subsequent procurement of materials and subcontractors.
  • Assist in planning payment schedules and the formulation of cash flow forecasts in order to track and report margins up the chain of command.
  • Assist with the measuring of works completed and help agree payment applications.
  • Monitor progress of applications and any disputes.

We are looking for:

  • Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution.
  • Experience of technical minute taking at contractual meetings and able to demonstrate the ability to collate information and prepare reports.
  • Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Manager and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports.
