Are you a motivated and confident construction professional with strong commercial expertise? Skanska is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our commercial building project team in London. You will play a pivotal role in the commercial management and successful delivery of a medium to large-scale construction project valued at £100m.
What you’ll do:
- Control project cost management and provide regular financial reports
- Administer contract documents and manage change control processes timely
- Monitor project costs and prepare accurate forecasts including CVRs
- Manage subcontractor agreements, valuations, and payments
- Support design change management aligned with project strategy
- Maintain comprehensive records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Foster a motivated, inclusive, and respectful team environment
- Develop team members through leadership and progression plans
What you\’ll bring to the role:
- Strong experience in CVRs, reporting, and forecasting on large build projects (£30m+)
- Proven ability managing multiple subcontract packages (£5-20m)
- Working knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, Bespoke)
- BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
- Preferably ICES or RICS qualified or working towards accreditation
- SMSTS qualified with relevant CSCS card
- Excellent communication skills with clients and supply chain
- Skilled in Excel and knowledgeable of NRM Rules, construction processes, legal contracts, and health & safety standards
