Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Piling Rig Operator to join our Cementation team working UK wide.
You’ll:
- Under the supervision and instruction of the Contract Supervisor or Piling Chargehand, perform and complete the tasks given within the piling process.
- Maintenance of drilling equipment, small plant and tools.
- Provide all required paperwork, namely, drillers logs, equipment inspection sheets, pre-start rig checks, progress reports and timesheets on a weekly basis for approval.
- Coordinate and work with any Rig Attendants and associated site Operatives.
- Assist the site team to construct piles by placing concrete and steel into the bore, to Company specifications and design.
- Assist the site to keep the site working area clean & tidy, preventing risk of injury and other hazards to yourself and colleagues.
Requirements:
- A valid in date CSCS/CPCS Card with the relevant categories.
- Previous experience operating Piling Rigs.
- A demonstrable understanding of various project or site-based drilling techniques, with the ability to use and operate complex rotary Drilling Rigs.
- Flexibility in your working shift to suit piling activities and achieve production targets.
- Able to travel and work around the UK.
