You will be a HR Business Partner, working with the leadership team to deliver people focused change projects aligned to the business plan strategic goals. Leading on organisational design, communication and employee relations activities to ensure people are engaged and supported during change to achieve the target operating model in a way which is fully aligned to the Skanska values. Tactical practitioner and account manager for all HR matters, working with shared specialist resources utilising the ‘one Skanska’ philosophy.
What you’ll do:
- Working closely with senior leaders to design and deliver people related change, such as organisational design, cultural shifts, ways of working or terms and conditions, aligned to the target operating model
- Fully understand the people impact of proposed changes, implementing communication and engagement plans to ensure individuals and teams are fully supported through changes
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure changes are fully costed and aligned to budget forecasts
- Provide expert advice on people and organisational design changes, use people metrics and industry best practice to inform recommendations
- Collaborate with other teams and centres of excellence within the HR function to coordinate and implement changes, ensuring appropriate processes are followed and systems updated accordingly.
- Demonstrate role modelling of, and be ambassador for, HR business partnering across your areas.
- Develop a thorough commercial understanding and add value through people related activities.
- Support the HRD with resource forecasting for your dedicated areas with a focus on onboarding to minimise unhealthy turnover.
- Manage employee relations matters effectively to promote a high-performance culture.
- Support the HRD to execute all annual events effectively to promote performance related remuneration.
- Effectively champion the engagement survey and outputs to leverage engagement levels across the OU and work with areas which require intervention.
- Drive talent review process for functional areas and work with teams to ensure succession plan in place for key roles.
- Ensure that talent is identified and developed Support HRD to identify areas of skill shortages and any demographic trends of concern.
- Actively support and work within the HR Service Delivery model, in partnership with HR specialist functions.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Excellent knowledge and proven application of effective people change programmes
- Strong written and oral communication with an ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Understanding of technology capabilities and operating models (desired)
- Sound working knowledge of employment law and employee relations practices
- Proven experience of behavioural change management
- Proven delivery in the key areas of generalist HR.
- Experience of TUPE (both in and out)
- Experience in coaching line managers through people matters.
- A thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law, and experience of practical application of this in a complex business environment.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
