We are looking for a Maintenance Joiner to join our Building Services Team in Derby.
Working as a Maintenance Joiner you will be responsible for carrying out interior and external maintenance joinery including small works to a high standard.
What you\’ll do:
- Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his trade, without supervision.
- Set out new work using relevant tools and materials without supervision.
- Experience in the machining of timber and fabrication of new joinery.
- Carry out repairs to ironmongery, blinds, door furniture and glazing.
- Key cutting.
- Cut and construct metal framing systems.
- Prepared to work at high levels on scaffolding.
- Be able to work on small work schemes without supervision.
- Ad-hoc on call for emergency work.
What you\’ll bring to the role:
- A recognised apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds craft certificate/ NVQ Level 3 IN Carpentry / Joinery and proven experience in the trade.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.
- Knowledge of COSHH would be an advantage.
- Construction skill card holder
- Full driving licence
