You will be working in Building Services OU in Mansfield Hospital in Sutton in Ashfield where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant (Fire Damper and Fan Coil Unit) who will efficiently and effectively carry out planned, breakdown and emergency maintenance of a wide range of engineering or building related services, fabric and finishes, either in support of a craftsperson or when working on an individual basis.
As the Maintenance Assistant (Fire Damper and Fan Coil Unit), you will:
- Complete documentation as part of the record systems management requirements.
- Completion of tasks either as part of the reactive or planned work programme to a high standard associated with Trust sites.
- Assisting with the maintenance and testing of the fire alarm systems and attending when alarms are activated.
- Perform visual inspections and functional drop tests; reset and verify free movement.
- Clean damper blades/frames and remove obstructions; lubricate where manufacturer guidance permits.
We are looking for:
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Possess knowledge of building services and general building maintenance.
- Have completed recognised training at Assistant Craft Level.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within building and building services maintenance.
- Evidence of working within acute health care premises would be advantageous.
- Methodical approach to inspections, testing, and documentation.
