Description and requirements

You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
As the Section Engineer (London Euston), you will:
- Lead 6-week lookahead planning and readiness reviews
- Approve TIDPs, draft TWDBs, ITPs, and quality packs
- Coordinate site works and ensure planning handover to teams
- Review designs, raise FCDs, RFIs, STQs, and complete redlines
- Conduct inspections, checksheets, and temporary works reviews
- Use Aphex, Zutec, and maintain trackers for productivity and labour
- Interface with Network Rail and support ALO planning
- Support BUF, MCRs, TRMs, and ensure compliance with SMSTS and PTS
We are looking for:
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field
- Understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and document control systems
- Training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management
- Presentation skills for inductions and briefings
