You will be working in the infrastructure OU where our Infrastructure team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places. We are currently looking for a Finance Manager - Projects who will provide financial governance, support, and advice to enable strong reporting and accuracy of financial information for the Infrastructure Operating Unit.

As the Finance Manager - Projects, you will:

  • Lead the highways and rail project accounting team, demonstrating a safety first culture, where the team is perceived to be a world class, value adding function, operating as part of the respective project teams.
  • Review and challenge Project Financials at Forecast & Review meetings, working alongside the Project teams to drive the best performance.
  • Ensure application of PRRP (Project Reporting & Review Procedure) at project level, supporting education and training as necessary.
  • Assist and support the OU Financial Controller with development and management of the Operating Unit Finance team.
  • Preparation, key support, analysis and coordination of the quarterly forecasting cycle.
  • Support the commercial and operational teams in producing the reporting pack for submission.
  • Timely production of accurate insightful monthly management accounts in accordance with Skanska internal and external accounting policies.

We are looking for:

  • Construction or Utilities or Infrastructure sector experience.
  • ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferable.
  • A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices and experience of practical application of this in an ERP environment.
  • Project accounting and commercially focused.
