Overview

Working as a Lead Shift Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing day to day servicing of both mechanical and electrical infrastructure and the ability to carry out breakdown maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems/equipment.

Responsibilities

  • To carry out sub-contractor inductions and putting people to work.
  • Assist and cover for the technical services manager when required.
  • To take control of any works requested by the technical services manager through to completion.
  • To attend reactive calls with contractual SLA.
  • To complete PPMs and update eLogbooks with correct and full details of the task.
  • Working in a team of 2 and taking the lead position within the team.
  • To ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in engineering discipline at NVQ level 3 or higher.
  • Strong Mechanical and Electrical experience.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Experience working within Facilities Management or Building Services.
  • Sound knowledge of H&S legislation and some knowledge of COSHH.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employee, customer and client.
  • Ability to supervise and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
  • Knowledge of Concept CAFM systems preferred.
