As a Degree Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will become part of our Building team, delivering award-winning public-sector projects including Bath Spa University, the Royal London Hospital, and Bristol schools. In the private sector, we focus on commercial and mixed-use buildings. Our London expertise has contributed to a portfolio featuring some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, such as The Gherkin and Heron Tower. Together, we are building a better society by shaping the future with innovation and purpose.
Security Clearance: Successful candidates will have to pass high security clearance (SC). In order to pass, both UK and non-UK subjects must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
What you’ll do:
- Supporting project delivery by managing subcontractors and adhering to the timelines of the project
- Assisting with the procurement of sub-contract packages and build strong and lasting relationships with the sub-contractor based on good communication and trust
- Working within the projects commercial team, measuring levels of works done
- Liaising with site team to assess completion of works and clear for payment
- Completing site measurements and records, day work sheets, labour and plant returns
- Preparing contract documents including preparing scopes and sub-contract warranties
- Working with numerical data in multiple software programmes to record payment applications and payment certificates
- Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and construction professionals, you will be learning to manage the commercial success of a project. No one day is the same.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 3 A-levels at Grade A - C, BTEC Extended National Diploma or equivalent level 3 qualification.
- 5 GCSEs at Grades 4-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent for us to successfully enrol you on the apprenticeship
- You will need to be comfortable with various computer software packages, numerical data and learning to understand legal contracts
- Thrive in a collaborative environment where your contributions are valued and celebrated
- Dependable team player who actively supports and promotes collective success
- Inquisitive and driven by a passion to grow and innovate
- You must have lived in the UK in the last 3 years and have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for an apprenticeship. We are not able to proceed with applications that require visa sponsorship.
- We are not able to proceed with applications from candidates that have already achieved a degree in a similar discipline.
What qualification will you be studying towards?
Initially, you will be studying a level 4 qualification in Quantity Surveying at a nominated local college or University, with the option to progress to a level 6 qualification afterwards.
You will join a community of 100+ graduates and apprentices, with opportunities to build networks and collaborate across the business.
