Skanska are seeking a Graduate to join our Waste and Resources Management team at our Head Office in Leavesden. You will assist project teams with day-to-day waste and resource management requirements. You will be studying towards or have recently completed a degree in a waste, sustainability or an environmental discipline.

What you\’ll do as an Advisor:

  • Provide advice, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their waste management responsibilities.
  • Advise on and produce Materials Management Plans, Sampling Plans, Resource Management Plans and Site Waste Management Plans.
  • Interpret materials and waste classification reports in support of projects.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of waste, materials, contaminated land and circular economy training.
  • Represent and promote the Waste & Resource Management (WARM) Team in meetings, workshops and forums.
  • Be familiar with, and promote, current environmental legislation and client requirements.
  • Support waste Duty of Care audits.
  • Support external liaison with regulators such as Environment Agencies and Local Authorities.

What you\’ll bring to the role as an Advisor:

  • Ideally studying towards or recently completed a degree in a waste, sustainability or environmental discipline.
  • Values driven and passionate about waste and resource management, the circular economy or contaminated land.
  • Able to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Able to work collaboratively towards shared goals.
  • An interest in innovation and making a positive impact.
  • Motivated to work in a construction site-based environment.
  • This role requires visits to construction sites; therefore, a driving licence is required.
