You will be working in the Building Services OU, based in Essex where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. Through collaboration and innovation, we deliver high-quality solutions that make a lasting, positive impact for people and communities.
We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for ensuring commercial governance and activity across the project or portfolio. As the Commercial Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for production of Project or portfolio Forecast and month-end CVR, including cost management, recovery of cost, and commercial entitlements, in line with Skanska OU Guidance.
- Escalate to the Senior Commercial Manager any disputes or any other commercial matters, and support the Senior Commercial Manager in providing internal Skanska updates on progress.
- Proactively seek process improvements to meet contract obligations and deliverables.
- Be responsible for achieving the Governments’ Prompt Payment targets for supply chain payments on the Project or portfolio.
- Oversee compliance to company process to protect entitlements and mitigate risk exposure.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders and support the Senior Commercial Manager in the development and execution of maintenance.
We are looking for:
- Experience of working in a commercial role within the facilities management sector.
- Experience and general understanding of CAFM systems.
- Experience of Oracle or financial management system.
- Mentoring junior team members in commercial awareness.
- Experience in providing commercially sound and robust advice to stakeholders and experience of working with client representatives.
- Experience in benchmarking and market testing exercises and client negotiations and settlements.
- Experience in Forecast modelling and quantifying risk and opportunity.
