We are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our infrastructure team to support Anglian Water projects across Peterborough.
What you\’ll do:
- Responsible for environmental compliance across all major aspects β water, waste, noise/vibration and ecological
- Provide environmental compliance advice to various teams including design, construction, procurement, subcontractors, and suppliers on practical implementation of contract policies.
- Manage and mentor the development of project Environmental Advisors.
- Assist the Environmental Lead in developing and implementing the Environmental Management Plan and other site-specific control measures.
- Undertake internal and external environmental audits and inspections, including those for suppliers and waste contractors.
- Deliver suitable environmental and sustainability training for all project staff.
- Drive awareness for and delivery against contract targets, particularly reducing Carbon emissions, improving materials efficiency, and achieving no-net loss in biodiversity.
What you\’ll bring to the role:
- Degree level in appropriate Environmental or relevant discipline or equivalent (eg NVQ)
- Several yearsβ construction industry experience or relevant environmental experience in a similar sector
- Minimum Practitioner Membership with IEMA or similar professional membership
