Britannia Row Productions is a world class audio rental company supplying high end audio equipment and skilled audio engineers to global music tours, sporting and corporate events. Now part of the US based Clair Global group of companies, our business and impressive client list is growing, and we require a Prep Supervisor to join our Prep and De-Prep team.
The Prep and De-prep department is responsible for combining equipment from other internal departments and constructing bespoke audio systems for our valued clients. It is the department’s responsibility to ensure that all equipment is prepared, presented and assembled to our exacting standards and fit for use at our live events.
What will you do?
You will support every aspect of the preparation of audio equipment for live concerts, tours and corporate events. Co-operating with other warehouse departments, Heads of Department and the Warehouse Management to provide efficient, high quality bespoke audio systems for our clients and offer professional support to Technical Crew and Client Crew. You will also assist the Prep and Check-in Manager directly by supervising other members of the department and any ongoing Prep or De-prep activities in their absence.
The main job tasks will be:
- Planning
- Liaising daily with Prep and De-prep HOD, Operations department and Warehouse Management to ensure an understanding of the requirements of each job and deadlines.
- To hold regular weekly meetings with the HOD, Operations department, other Supervisors and when necessary, with the team to facilitate communication and ensure job specifics are discussed in a timely manner.
- Liaising daily with Prep and De-prep Manager helping to organise a team of people needed to handle the requirements of each job and deadlines.
- Liaising daily with other Head of Departments (HOD’s) to ensure that equipment is ready for Pre-prep and Prep.
- Helping to organise the Pre-prep and De-prep area and ensuring space is available and allocated for each Prep.
- Help and support HOD to overcome potential issues and plan work ahead as much as possible to mitigate problems.
- Analysing and interpreting technical documents provided by clients to build systems to specification.
- In the absence of the HOD, deputise and take responsibility for the department.
- Keep records of jobs to ensure data and information can be retained for future reference.
Prep and De-prep
- Ensure that Prep and De-prep areas are always clean, tidy & safe.
- Managing equipment preparation throughout Pre-prep and Prep process, always ensuring a high standard of work.
- Prepping and/or managing equipment preparation throughout Pre-prep and Prep process, ensuring a high standard of work at all times.
- Liaising with Technical Crew and Client Crew, ensuring that systems are to the correct specification, whilst also reporting back to HODs, the Prep Manager and Operations any requested changes.

* Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Standard working hours are 35 hours per week, 10am to 6pm, five out of seven days, Monday to Sunday with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. You may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime hours as directed by the Company. This may include the need to work shifts, unsocial hours and weekends.
