The Trainee Marketing Assistant will have a supporting role within Skadden's Marketing and Communications team in London, assisting across a variety of operational and administrative tasks related to PR, events, recognitions and design. This entry‐level position offers hands‐on experience in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment. By working closely with team members to support the day‐to‐day coordination of a broad range of marketing initiatives, the Marketing Apprentice will develop essential skills and knowledge for a future career in professional services marketing and communications. This is a full‐time, 18‐month contract role.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the events team with the maintenance of event invite lists and client responses internal event databases and trackers, as well as general events admin support.
- Assisting with registration and general real‐time event support, including the collation of badges and name places for each event.
- Assist the recognitions team with legal directory submissions by repurposing information for written submissions and preparing referee spreadsheets under team guidance.
- Support the PR and recognitions teams by helping to collate first drafts of briefing notes for partners preparing for meetings with journalists and directory interviews, with guidance from specialists and managers in the team.
- Help maintain the Firm's central recognitions tracker and other calendars, by monitoring and updating deadlines and uploading relevant documents to the appropriate platforms.
- Assist with general PR office duties, such as updating and maintaining press lists.
- Liaising with members of our global BD & Marketing team to ensure EMEA media coverage is included in internal trackers, as well as the broader activities of the BD & Marketing Team in London.
- Assisting with collating media coverage reports for evaluation and reporting back.
- Maintaining trackers for the project management of marketing campaigns.
- Provide ad‐hoc support to the team designer, including basic formatting and image searching.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
- Manages Firm resources responsibly.
- Regular and reliable physical presence to work as part of a team, use on‐site equipment, etc.
- Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.

Education and Experience
