We are working with a well-established and highly regarded Legal 500 firm who are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Family Law Fee Earner, ideally based from their new office in Burton upon Trent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected multi-disciplinary law firm with an excellent reputation across a variety of legal services, offering the chance to become part of a growing team and play a key role in the development of its new office.
The firm is keen to speak with experienced Family Fee Earners but is also open to considering candidates at a support level who have a genuine interest in family law and are looking to develop their career within this area.
The Role
Depending on your level of experience, you will either manage your own caseload of family matters or provide support to the wider family team.
Matters may include:
- Divorce and separation.
- Financial settlements and ancillary relief.
- Private children matters.
- Cohabitation disputes.
- Pre and post-nuptial agreements.
- General family law advice and proceedings.
Responsibilities may include:
- Managing a caseload of family law matters (where appropriate).
- Supporting solicitors and fee earners with ongoing cases.
- Drafting legal correspondence and documentation.
- Liaising with clients, courts and other relevant parties.
- Keeping clients updated and ensuring matters progress efficiently.
- Providing a high standard of client care throughout.
About You
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience within family law, ideally within a private practice environment.
- Are confident communicating with clients and handling sensitive matters professionally.
- Have strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Are proactive, approachable and committed to delivering excellent client service.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
Applications are welcomed from experienced Family Fee Earners, Solicitors, Legal Executives and Paralegals, as well as Family Legal Assistants or Legal Secretaries looking to further develop their experience within family law.
