Are you an experienced Family Fee Earner looking for your next opportunity within a friendly, close-knit high-street law firm?
We are working with an established and ambitious firm in Birmingham that is looking to build and develop its Family department. They are now seeking an experienced Family Fee Earner to join the team and play an important role in supporting the department's continued growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied caseload, values a supportive working environment and wants to be part of a firm where they can make a genuine contribution.
The Role
You will manage a varied Family caseload, with an initial focus on Legal Aid matters, alongside opportunities to undertake private client work.
The firm is looking for someone who can confidently manage their own files, work independently and hit the ground running. You will be joining a team where there is scope to develop your role as the department continues to grow.
About You
The firm is open to applications from Solicitors, CILEX-qualified professionals, Chartered Legal Executives and experienced Paralegals.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Family Fee Earner, managing your own caseload.
- Practical experience handling Legal Aid Family matters (essential).
- The ability and confidence to pick up privately funded Family work.
- A good understanding of the Legal Aid framework and associated processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Good time-recording and file-management habits.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
The firm is particularly interested in someone who is commercially aware, organised and comfortable taking ownership of their workload.
