About the Role

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a balanced mechanical and electrical skillset (50/50) to join a busy and well-established manufacturing operation in Leeds. You will play a key role in maintaining production reliability by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment. This opportunity would suit a hands-on engineer comfortable fault finding across both disciplines within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery
  • Log maintenance activity accurately on the CMMS system
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (RCA, 5S, TPM, SMED)
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Assist with maintenance projects and improvement work

Skills & Experience Required

  • Apprentice trained in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience within manufacturing or production environments
  • Balanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability
  • Mechanical knowledge including bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics
  • Electrical experience including motors, sensors, control systems or fault diagnosis
  • Experience using CMMS systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
  • IT literate (Word / Excel)
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts
