About the Role
We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a balanced mechanical and electrical skillset (50/50) to join a busy and well-established manufacturing operation in Leeds. You will play a key role in maintaining production reliability by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment. This opportunity would suit a hands-on engineer comfortable fault finding across both disciplines within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery
- Log maintenance activity accurately on the CMMS system
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (RCA, 5S, TPM, SMED)
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Assist with maintenance projects and improvement work
Skills & Experience Required
- Apprentice trained in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience within manufacturing or production environments
- Balanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability
- Mechanical knowledge including bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics
- Electrical experience including motors, sensors, control systems or fault diagnosis
- Experience using CMMS systems
- Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- IT literate (Word / Excel)
- Flexible to work rotating shifts
