We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Accounts Administrator / Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy and growing finance team in Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous accounts or finance administration experience who is looking for a flexible part-time role within a supportive office environment.

This position would suit candidates with experience in Accounts Administration, Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Finance Administration, Data Entry, Customer Service, or Office Administration roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable team with day-to-day finance administration
  • Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls professionally
  • Speaking with suppliers and customers to resolve queries
  • Monitoring and maintaining the accounts payable inbox
  • Printing and processing invoices
  • Data entry including supplier returns and credit notes
  • Updating spreadsheets relating to returns and credit notes
  • Assisting with monthly supplier statements and reconciliations
  • Filing delivery notes and matching invoices
  • Organising and filing fuel receipts
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative duties
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience within an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Finance Assistant, Customer Service, or Administration role
  • Strong IT skills including good Excel knowledge
  • Excellent verbal communication and telephone manner
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
