We are currently recruiting for a Production Zone Leader / Production Team Leader / Manufacturing Supervisor to join a well-established and fast-paced manufacturing operation in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor / Team Leader looking to take the next step in a hands-on leadership role, driving production output, quality control, and operational efficiency.
You will lead a team of 5-10 operatives, ensuring daily targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern (Rotating Weekly)
- 06:15 - 14:15 (Day Shift)
- 14:15 - 22:15 (Afternoon Shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production operatives / manufacturing staff
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations (HSE) and site procedures
- Maintain high standards of quality control / quality assurance (QA)
- Drive production efficiency, productivity, and minimise downtime
- Monitor KPIs, output, and team performance
- Support lean manufacturing / continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
- Allocate workload and manage workflow across the production line
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly
- Work closely with the Production Leader / Shift Manager
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Production Team Leader / Supervisor / Zone Leader / Line Leader
- Background in a manufacturing / production / factory environment (essential)
- Strong understanding of health & safety, quality control, and production processes
- Experience improving efficiency, output, and team performance
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
