Are you an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a background working on gas, diesel or petrol engines? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK engineering business that designs, installs and maintains specialist power generation equipment across a wide range of industrial and commercial sites. This is a fully field-based role covering customer sites throughout South Wales. The successful candidate will be issued with a company van and will work remotely across the region. The company's office is based in Manchester; however, travel to the office will only be required on an occasional basis, initially to collect the company van and thereafter only as required for business needs.

The Role
As an Operations Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on customer installations across your region, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Service gas, diesel and petrol engine-powered equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service
- Participate in the on-call rota and occasional weekend work

Essential Requirements
- ONC/OND, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Studies or a related discipline
- Minimum three years' experience in a mechanical engineering or engine maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding skills on gas, diesel or petrol engines
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence

Working Hours
