About the Role
S K Heating and Cooling Ltd is seeking an ambitious and results-driven New Business Development Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing lasting client relationships, and promoting S K Heating and Cooling Ltd\’s full range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration solutions.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who understands commercial HVAC and Refrigeration systems and enjoys building partnerships with business owners, facility managers, and general contractors. You\’ll work closely with our service, engineering, and installation teams to deliver innovative and energy-efficient climate and refrigeration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new commercial accounts in key sectors such as retail, food service, manufacturing, healthcare, and institutional facilities.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Conduct on-site evaluations and needs assessments to recommend customized HVAC/R solutions.
- Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to allow the preparation of proposals, quotes, and bids for new projects.
- Deliver professional presentations and consultations to business owners, facility managers, and contractors.
- Negotiate contract terms to secure business deals.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate activity reports and forecasts within the company\’s CRM system.
- Promote preventive maintenance programs, retrofits, and system upgrades to maximize customer value.
- Stay informed on industry trends, refrigerant regulations, and emerging HVAC/R technologies.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Represent S K Heating and Cooling Ltd professionally at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Ideally 3 years of B2B experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical services.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage sales processes.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Clik, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver\’s license
Preferred:
- Technical or trade background in HVAC/R, mechanical engineering, or facilities management.
- Experience selling maintenance contracts, retrofit projects, or design-build solutions.
- Understanding of local mechanical codes, refrigerant compliance, and energy-efficiency standards.
