We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious technical professional to join a food manufacturer and take the lead on supplier management and raw materials. This is a fantastic springboard role with an entrepreneurial and growing technical department and offers a clear progression route. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role will head up supplier management for the business and will suit an entrepreneurial, proactive technical/quality professional with a background in food manufacturing, and a passion building long-term supplier relationships. Responsibilities include on-boarding new suppliers and building fantastic relationships, documentation, advising on food safety standards and risks, liaising with the key retailers, supplier visits and site audits. HACCP experience required.
The company is a well-established supplier across grocery retail, food service and discounter channels, including a range of blue chip clients. This role is available due to company growth after major investment in product development and there is significant potential to continue to expand the customer base.
This is a site-based role at the company HQ with some travel to suppliers.
