We’re seeking a Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen our compliance framework, ensuring we meet all customer, regulatory, and contractual obligations. This is a key role where you’ll act as the central interface between the business, customers, and regulatory bodies.

The Role

As Compliance Manager, you will ensure the organisation operates in full compliance with all relevant regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards, including AS9100 and defence frameworks. You’ll take ownership of export controls, customer compliance, and data handling standards—proactively identifying risks and implementing effective controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret customer specifications and contractual requirements
  • Ensure the business understands and meets all compliance obligations
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers and regulatory bodies
  • Lead export control activities in line with legislation
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls
  • Support customer audits and compliance activities (e.g. JOSCAR, Cyber/IT, REACH, Conflict Minerals)
  • Ensure secure handling of Official Sensitive (OS) data
  • Support BPSS and personnel vetting requirements alongside HR
  • Monitor, report, and escalate compliance risks where necessary
  • Deliver internal training on compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement across compliance systems and processes

About You

You’re a proactive and detail-focused compliance professional who is confident working in a regulated environment and translating complex requirements into clear, actionable guidance.

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years in a Compliance Management role
  • Defence sector experience, including DEFCON frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace standards
  • Proven experience managing export controls
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data handling and information security

Desirable

  • Experience within a machining or manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing Official Sensitive (OS) data
  • Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain it)
