We are recruiting for an experienced HSE & Facilities Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Tewkesbury. This is a senior, hands-on position with responsibility for Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities management across the site. The successful candidate will act as the business's HSE subject matter expert while taking ownership of the site's facilities function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site
- Develop and maintain HSE management systems in line with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
- Lead process safety activities including HAZOP, DSEAR and Management of Change
- Manage risk assessments, COSHH, Permit to Work and contractor safety
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations
- Manage environmental compliance including waste, emissions, effluent and water treatment
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and support external audits and inspections
- Monitor and report HSE KPIs to senior management
- Oversee site facilities, building infrastructure and statutory compliance
- Manage facilities contractors and service providers
- Support utilities, energy management and sustainability initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong safety-first culture
The Ideal Candidate:
- NEBOSH qualified β Diploma advantageous
- Strong HSE experience within manufacturing, chemical or another high-risk industrial environment
- Previous facilities management experience within a manufacturing/industrial site
- Good knowledge of UK HSE and environmental legislation
- Experience with process safety, HAZOP, DSEAR/ATEX and COSHH
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Environmental compliance experience, ideally including hazardous waste and effluent/water treatment
- Strong contractor and facilities management experience
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
This position would suit an experienced HSE & Facilities Manager, EHS & Facilities Manager, HSE Manager, EHS Manager, SHE Manager or SHEQ Manager with a strong manufacturing background.
