The Engineering Team are looking to fill the role of Multi Skilled Engineer in their Tamworth facility. As a member of the Engineering Team, you will work as part of a team and be responsible for maintaining and repairing the manufacturing equipment. Responsible for onsite repairs, unforeseen breakdowns and conducting the preventative and day to day maintenance on a continuous process production plant. The ability to diagnose and communicate electrical and/or mechanical faults with machinery ensuring we achieve production company targets and objectives, promoting operational excellence at all times. Multi Skilled Engineers work a continental shift pattern on a rolling shift pattern, 12 hour shifts days / nights.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for supporting all engineering breakdowns, diagnosing faults as soon as possible and replacement of machine parts.
- Rectifying all hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical issues.
- Enhancing, repairing and maintaining all the Plant, Equipment and Services within the manufacturing facility as per the preventative maintenance schedule and updating the maintenance log.
- Assisting with the installation and commission of new machinery and equipment with the support of specialist Tool Room Engineers.
- Order spares / consumables required to support the engineering activities that will be undertaken in house or by a contracted company.
- Work closely with Production, Tool Change and Tool Room teams to effectively achieve the required engineering outcome.
What will you bring to the party?
- Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent in Electrical or Multi Skilled Engineering.
- Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repairs including Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
- Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
