We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Design Manager to lead the design function of a well-established manufacturing business delivering high-quality interior solutions. This senior role bridges design, engineering, and production, ensuring creative concepts are translated into practical, efficient, and commercially viable outputs. You will lead the design team, collaborate with production and project management, and play a pivotal role in shaping design standards across the business.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Leading and managing the in-house design team, setting standards and driving performance
- Developing detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Translating client briefs and conceptual designs into production-ready solutions
- Ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with manufacturing capabilities
- Collaborating with production teams for seamless handover and execution

Essential:
- Proven experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer role within manufacturing
- Advanced SolidWorks capability
- Background in interior fit-out, joinery, or bespoke manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, fabrication, assembly)
- Experience leading and developing a design team
- Ability to produce detailed, production-ready drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and value engineering skills
