An established aerospace precision manufacturer is looking to recruit a CMM Inspector / Programmer to support its quality function within a high-tolerance machining environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the CMM programming process, working with complex components and advanced measurement technology.
You will be responsible for creating, running and optimising CMM programs while supporting inspection activities across production.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set and operate CMMs for complex aerospace components
- Create and optimise CMM inspection routines to engineering drawings
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection using CMMs
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure full conformance
- Analyse inspection data and support root cause investigations
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues
- Ensure inspection activities meet aerospace quality and compliance standards
You will primarily work with fixed and portable CMMs, including:
- Probe and video-based CMM systems
- Offline and online CMM programming
- Supporting metrology equipment as required
(Experience with Metrologic and/or Metrosoft is highly desirable.)

What We’re Looking For- Proven experience as a CMM Inspector or CMM Programmer
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components

- CMM programming experience using Metrologic and/or Metrosoft
- Aerospace or regulated industry background
- Experience supporting FAIRs and customer quality requirements
- Competitive salary of £30,000 – £38,000, depending on experience
