We’re recruiting a Designer to join a growing manufacturing and fit-out business delivering bespoke retail and commercial environments. This role is ideal for a practical, detail-driven designer who enjoys turning concepts into buildable, real-world solutions.
You’ll work from initial brief through to production-ready design, with a strong focus on spatial layout, fixtures and fittings, and intelligent material selection.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing retail and commercial fixtures using SketchUp (essential)
- Producing accurate technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD (essential)
- Developing spatial layouts that balance customer experience, practicality and manufacturability
- Designing bespoke fixtures, fittings and furniture solutions
- Selecting materials with consideration for durability, cost and sustainability
- Collaborating with manufacturing, project and installation teams
- Supporting prototyping and resolving design or production challenges
- Managing multiple projects and working to agreed timelines
Software & Tools
- SketchUp – core design tool (high proficiency required)
- AutoCAD – essential for layouts and technical drawings
- Additional experience with SolidWorks, Adobe Photoshop or similar tools is advantageous

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Designer within retail, shopfitting, or commercial interiors
- Strong working knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD
- Solid understanding of spatial planning and interior layouts
- Experience designing fixtures and fittings for manufacture
- Aware of sustainable materials and responsible design practices
- Organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with stakeholders
- Willingness to attend site or project meetings when required
What’s on Offer
Salary of £25,000 – £35,000, depending on experience. A hands-on design role with real influence on finished projects. Supportive team environment with exposure to full project lifecycles.
