We’re seeking an experienced NDT Lead to act as the subject matter expert across destructive and non-destructive testing, with a strong emphasis on Dye Penetrant Testing. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll set standards, guide technicians, and ensure the integrity of testing on high-value engineered components.

Key Responsibilities:- Act as the subject matter expert for both destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Lead day-to-day NDT activities with particular responsibility for Dye Penetrant Testing.
- Perform, review and validate a range of tests including PT, MT, UT, VT and destructive testing methods.
- Develop, improve and approve testing procedures, techniques and work instructions.
- Mentor and support technicians, ensuring competency development and training standards.
- Support audits, customer reviews and adherence to industry standards.
- Investigate non-conformances and advise on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate test records, reports and certification documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, quality and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Minimum PCN Level 2 in Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Experience in both destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Additional NDT certifications (MT, UT, VT or RT) are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of quality requirements, documentation and audit processes.
- Ability to lead, mentor and technically support technicians.
- Experience within aerospace, defence, precision engineering or other high-integrity sectors.
- Play a key technical role covering both destructive and non-destructive testing.
