Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee dye penetrant inspection activities, acting as the site authority with PCN Level 3 Dye Penetrant Testing competence.
  • Approve testing procedures, ensure compliance with aerospace and customer standards, and provide technical direction to the wider team.
  • Conduct and oversee destructive testing, validating component strength, hardness and performance.
  • Perform and supervise non-destructive testing to identify surface or sub-surface defects.
  • Analyse findings, produce detailed reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, ensure full traceability and uphold quality standards in a safety-critical environment.

Experience Required

  • PCN Level 3 qualified in Dye Penetrant Testing – essential and non-negotiable.
  • Strong background across materials testing, including destructive and non-destructive techniques.
  • Ability to mentor and guide technicians, providing technical leadership across the department.
