Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee dye penetrant inspection activities, acting as the site authority with PCN Level 3 Dye Penetrant Testing competence.
- Approve testing procedures, ensure compliance with aerospace and customer standards, and provide technical direction to the wider team.
- Conduct and oversee destructive testing, validating component strength, hardness and performance.
- Perform and supervise non-destructive testing to identify surface or sub-surface defects.
- Analyse findings, produce detailed reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation, ensure full traceability and uphold quality standards in a safety-critical environment.
Experience Required
- PCN Level 3 qualified in Dye Penetrant Testing – essential and non-negotiable.
- Strong background across materials testing, including destructive and non-destructive techniques.
- Ability to mentor and guide technicians, providing technical leadership across the department.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a methodical approach.
