SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Endocrine Outpatients Nurse to support specialist endocrine clinics across NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in managing hormonal and metabolic conditions, providing patient education, and supporting consultant-led clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting consultant-led Endocrinology clinics
  • Conducting clinical assessments & observations
  • Managing patients with a range of endocrine conditions, including:
  • Diabetes (Type 1 & 2)
  • Thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules)
  • Adrenal disorders (Addison’s, Cushing’s)
  • Pituitary conditions
  • Metabolic bone disease
  • Assisting with blood tests, endocrine investigations & clinic preparation
  • Medication support (insulin knowledge advantageous)
  • Providing patient education on lifestyle, medication adherence, and condition management
  • Supporting virtual/telephone follow-up clinics
  • Accurately documenting patient notes in EPR systems
  • Working alongside Consultants, HCAs, Diabetes Nurses, and AHPs
  • Requirements

    • Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)
    • Minimum 1 year experience in Endocrinology, Diabetes, General Medicine, or related area
    • Strong understanding of endocrine conditions and treatment pathways
    • Confident with clinical assessments and patient education
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Able to work autonomously within busy outpatient settings
    • You must be living in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
