SJK Healthcare is seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support patients on busy Ophthalmology wards, caring for individuals undergoing cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, retinal treatments, and eye‑related acute admissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support patients pre‑ and post‑eye surgery
  • Carry out basic observations & escalate abnormalities
  • Assist with eye dressings, drop administration support (under RN instruction)
  • Guide visually‑impaired patients safely around the ward
  • Provide personal care, mobility assistance & reassurance
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment & follow strict IPC
  • Assist with admissions, discharges & patient flow
Requirements:
  • Previous HCA experience (hospital or day‑surgery beneficial)
  • Confident supporting patients with reduced vision
  • Enhanced PVG + mandatory training up to date
