SJK Healthcare is seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support patients on busy Ophthalmology wards, caring for individuals undergoing cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, retinal treatments, and eye‑related acute admissions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support patients pre‑ and post‑eye surgery
- Carry out basic observations & escalate abnormalities
- Assist with eye dressings, drop administration support (under RN instruction)
- Guide visually‑impaired patients safely around the ward
- Provide personal care, mobility assistance & reassurance
- Maintain a clean, safe environment & follow strict IPC
- Assist with admissions, discharges & patient flow
- Previous HCA experience (hospital or day‑surgery beneficial)
- Confident supporting patients with reduced vision
- Enhanced PVG + mandatory training up to date
