SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Pain Management Nurse to support specialist outpatient pain clinics within NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in chronic pain pathways, patient education, and multidisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting consultant-led pain management clinics
- Conducting clinical assessments & reviewing pain history
- Managing patients with chronic pain conditions such as:
- Neuropathic pain
- Musculoskeletal pain
- Post-surgical pain
- Fibromyalgia & complex regional pain
- Steroid/nerve block preparation
- TENS education
- Medication reviews (in collaboration with prescribers)
- Providing patient education (self-management, pacing, lifestyle adjustments)
- Supporting telephone/virtual follow-up reviews
- Accurate documentation within EPR systems
- Working collaboratively with Consultants, Physiotherapists, HCAs, and Pain Specialists
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in pain management, MSK, chronic illness, or similar
- Strong communication and patient engagement skills
- Ability to manage sensitive, complex patient needs
- Outpatient experience beneficial
- Confident working autonomously in a clinic setting
- Must have the right to work in the UK and live in the UK
