SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Pain Management Nurse to support specialist outpatient pain clinics within NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in chronic pain pathways, patient education, and multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting consultant-led pain management clinics
  • Conducting clinical assessments & reviewing pain history
  • Managing patients with chronic pain conditions such as:
  • Neuropathic pain
  • Musculoskeletal pain
  • Post-surgical pain
  • Fibromyalgia & complex regional pain
  • Supporting interventions including:
    • Steroid/nerve block preparation
    • TENS education
    • Medication reviews (in collaboration with prescribers)
    • Providing patient education (self-management, pacing, lifestyle adjustments)
    • Supporting telephone/virtual follow-up reviews
    • Accurate documentation within EPR systems
    • Working collaboratively with Consultants, Physiotherapists, HCAs, and Pain Specialists

    Requirements

    • Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)
    • Minimum 1 year’s experience in pain management, MSK, chronic illness, or similar
    • Strong communication and patient engagement skills
    • Ability to manage sensitive, complex patient needs
    • Outpatient experience beneficial
    • Confident working autonomously in a clinic setting
    • Must have the right to work in the UK and live in the UK
