We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our clients Site Engineering Team, ensuring all plant, equipment, and site infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This role is critical in minimising downtime through preventive maintenance, driving continuous improvement projects, and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety. You will oversee capital projects, support team training and development, and ensure all contractors adhere to company policies and legislative requirements.

What will you be doing?

  • Observe & apply all Health & Safety policies & procedures
  • Manage contractors in line with company Management of Contractors procedure
  • Ensure all accidents are thoroughly investigated and reported, Near Miss reporting is actively participated in by the department
  • Support factory audits and visits
  • Ensure critical spare parts are held or available within acceptable timeframe minimising downtime
  • Ensure production plan is met on time every time
  • Set and manage the Engineering budget
  • Develop personal coaching skills to improve team and individual performance
  • Develop the PM programme and PM team through analysis and trending to reduce plant downtime.
  • Identify projects to improve Plant performance reducing downtime, waste, labour, complaints
  • Identify projects to reduce energy usage
