Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing facility supporting a major OEM programme in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contractor who is comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and acting as the technical lead within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
The Role
As the Senior Process Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting production, driving continuous improvement and acting as the primary engineering contact for both internal stakeholders and customers.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing position where you'll be expected to lead from the front and make decisions with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process engineering activities across the JIT manufacturing facility.
- Act as the engineering lead, taking ownership of manufacturing processes and improvements.
- Work directly with customers, representing the business in technical discussions and project meetings.
- Support new product introductions and engineering changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with production, quality and programme teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement robust corrective actions.
- Support programme launches and ensure customer expectations are consistently achieved.
Experience Required
- Significant experience as a
Senior Process Engineer within the automotive manufacturing sector.
- Strong background in automotive interior manufacturing is essential.
- Previous
Tier 1 supplier experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working within a
Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.
- Customer-facing experience with the confidence to build strong relationships and represent the business professionally.
- Programme management experience, supporting projects from launch through to production.
- Comfortable working autonomously, making decisions and leading engineering activities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
