A well-established and respected law firm in York is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Property department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing support experience who is seeking a long-term role within a friendly and professional team.
You will provide support to Fee Earners on a varied caseload of residential property matters, helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting Fee Earners with a caseload of residential conveyancing files
- Preparing legal documents, forms and correspondence
- Opening new files and carrying out compliance checks
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors
- Managing diaries, appointments and key deadlines
- Requesting searches and assisting with post-completion matters
- Providing regular updates to clients and third parties
- General administrative support and file management
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or Secretary within Residential Property
- Good understanding of the conveyancing process
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- IT literate with experience using case management systems
