Working Pattern: Hybrid & Flexible Working

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or Residential Property Lawyer to take ownership of an established conveyancing division and play a key role in its future growth. The department currently consists of approximately 30 conveyancing professionals operating across multiple offices, with ambitious plans to significantly increase revenue and expand the team over the coming years.

Unlike many senior conveyancing positions, this role is primarily focused on leadership, strategy, recruitment and departmental performance rather than carrying a substantial personal caseload. However, candidates who wish to continue practising and maintain an existing client following will be fully supported in doing so.

The Role

  • Lead and develop a national team of approximately 30 conveyancing professionals
  • Drive departmental growth, profitability and overall performance
  • Recruit, mentor and retain high-performing conveyancing talent
  • Support the growth of both employed and consultant conveyancers
  • Implement operational improvements and best practice across the department
  • Work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic growth plans
  • Monitor service standards, compliance and client experience
  • Build strong relationships across multiple office locations

About You

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience within Residential Conveyancing
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience leading teams, departments or conveyancing operations
  • Strong commercial awareness and a growth-focused mindset
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills
  • Experience driving performance and developing successful legal teams
  • The ability to influence and lead across multiple office locations

Working Arrangements

This is a genuinely flexible leadership role. The successful candidate can be based from any of the firm's office locations, although candidates based within the Midlands would be particularly well positioned. The role operates on a hybrid basis, with the majority of management, mentoring and leadership responsibilities able to be carried out remotely. There will be occasional travel to offices across the network to support teams, maintain visibility and assist with business growth initiatives.
