SJC Partners have been mandated by a leading BIG 4 professional services firm to recruit an experienced M&A Director to work on the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates in the mid-market and specialise within the North.
The Role
- Origination – generating and leading high-quality buy- and sell-side mandates
- Deal execution – leading transactions from initial strategic review through to completion
- Client development – building trusted relationships with entrepreneurs, corporates, investors and senior stakeholders
- Business development – helping strengthen and grow the firm's presence across the North
- Team leadership – developing, coaching and motivating a high-performing M&A team
- Strategic growth – playing a key role in shaping the continued success of the Manchester and wider Northern business
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Significant M&A experience gained within a BIG 4, investment bank, M&A boutique, private equity or corporate development environment
- A proven track record of originating successful buy- and sell-side mandates
- Significant transaction experience across the full deal lifecycle
- Strong commercial, analytical and financial modelling skills
- Strong academic & technical background (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent)
- The credibility to build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, investors and intermediaries
- A strong network across the Northern mid-market
- Proven experience leading, developing and empowering high-calibre teams
