An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic and fast-paced finance team within a growing UK business. This is a varied and hands-on role covering month-end reporting, treasury, purchasing insights, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Oversee sales and purchase ledger activity and reconcile key accounts
- Support month-end processes: payroll posting, accruals, prepayments, and FX revaluations
- Manage the fixed asset register and VAT returns
- Maintain cash flow forecasts, process payments, and assist with trade loans
- Provide detailed cost analysis and financial support for purchasing and supplier negotiations
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Support internal controls, audits, and systems development
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience across all core accounting functions
- AAT qualified / part-qualified or equivalent experience
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables), with experience in Sage or similar systems
- Clear communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data and support business decisions
- Hands-on, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-moving environment
