A prestigious European private equity firm is seeking a high-calibre Investment Associate to join its London office. With a proven track record of executing transformational investments across multiple sectors and geographies, the firm specialises in majority-stake mid-market investments across Europe.

As an Investment Associate, you will be an integral part of a high-performing team, actively involved across the full investment lifecycle - from origination to execution and post-deal value creation.

  • Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Assist in the identification and initial screening of new investment opportunities, develop investment theses, and conduct detailed market, industry and competitor analysis.
  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, perform valuation analyses (LBO, DCF, trading comparables and precedent transactions), and conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Due Diligence & Deal Execution: Lead key workstreams throughout the due diligence process, coordinate external advisors, prepare investment committee materials, and support negotiations through to successful completion.
  • Portfolio Company Support: Work closely with management teams to monitor performance, support strategic initiatives, and drive value creation across the portfolio.
  • Stakeholder & Internal Communications: Prepare board papers, investment updates and presentations for senior stakeholders, while liaising with advisors, consultants, lenders and co-investors.

Qualifications: A minimum of one year's private equity experience gained within a lower mid-market or mid-market private equity fund, with demonstrable involvement in successful transactions. Previous Investment Banking or M&A advisory experience prior to moving into private equity. Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, including LBO modelling. Strong understanding of the full investment lifecycle, from origination and execution through to portfolio management and value creation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial and high-performance environment.

Required Skills: Fluency in English is essential, with fluency in one or more additional European languages highly desirable, particularly French, German, Dutch or Polish.
